  Evan Alexander Scott, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering

Evan Scott joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University as an assistant professor in September of 2013.  He used a foundation in biomaterials science from his PhD work at Washington University in St. Louis to rationally design novel nanomaterial-based vaccines during his postdoctoral research at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), one of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology.  His work has been funded by the American Heart Association, the Whitaker Foundation, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  The immunoengineering-focused Scott Lab aims to develop strategies for therapeutic vaccination and controlled immunomodulation.
